Black T Stage System

The Black T Stage System is a fixed-stage flooring system designed for most stage applications. Unlike traditional stick-built stages, it is precision-manufactured off-site, reducing the number of components, simplifying installation, and ensuring exceptional accuracy.

The system combines bespoke acoustic pads with built-in limiters, batten support frames, two or three subfloor layers in stage-grade birch ply, and a choice of performance surfaces. The frames are pre-cut and pre-drilled, so installation is more consistent and faster on site.

Black T MTS 35

Black T MTS 35 is a precision-engineered modular trap system for building fully trappable stage floors. Manufactured from 35mm stage-grade birch plywood, the panels are used with a steel frame to form the trappable floor. Custom sizing and shaping are available as required.

Black T Stagesure is a durable, matt-black polymer composite stage surface. Water-resistant and dimensionally stable, it will not warp, swell or delaminate when exposed to moisture, making it a tough alternative to traditional wood, hardboard and vinyl coverings. It cuts, drills and fixes with standard carpentry tools.

Black T Stagegrip

Black T Stagegrip is a stage-grade birch plywood sacrificial stage surface. The 6mm plywood is overlaid with a hard-wearing phenolic film on both surfaces, the top surface finished in a slip-resistant mesh pattern. It is a more durable and sustainable alternative to traditional sacrificial stage surfaces.

  • Concept and requirements development. We work with clients and design teams from the earliest stages, defining the operational, technical, acoustic and performance requirements.
  • Detailed design and engineering. We produce full CAD stage designs, structural build-ups and load-path analysis, integrated with lifts, traps, orchestra pits, automation, HVAC and fire strategies.
  • Technical documentation. We deliver fabrication drawings, installation details, interface tolerances, finishing schedules, and maintenance documentation to ensure accurate manufacture and installation.
  • International coordination. We work closely with architects, structural engineers, theatre consultants, lift suppliers and contractors throughout the project.
  • Installation supervision and commissioning. We provide on-site inspection, substrate verification, installation guidance, commissioning support and final sign-off.
